DUI

SHAMOKIN - Charles G. Lloyd, 42, of 311 Luke Fidler Road, Luke Fidler, was charged by Patrolman Jarrod Scandle with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of careless driving involving an Aug. 22 incident at Race and Hancock streets.

Police said Lloyd had a blood-alcohol content of .296 percent.

Lloyd waived his right to a preliminary hearing Tuesday and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to appear for arraignment Dec. 1 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury.

DUI II

COAL TOWNSHIP - Paul A. Yucha, 23, of 346 W. Cherry St., Mount Carmel, was charged by Trooper Mark Adams of state police at Stonington with driving under the influence of alcohol relating to a traffic stop at 1:36 a.m. Oct. 10 on Route 61.

DUI III

MOUNT CARMEL - Albert M. Odorizzi, 27, of 9 Back St., Dooleyville, was charged by Patrolman Jason Drumheller with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without lights relating to an Oct. 3 incident at Fourth and Oak streets.

Police said Odorizzi refused to submit to chemical testing.

DUI IV

MOUNT CARMEL TOWNSHIP - Three counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of careless driving were filed by Patrolman Kelly Campbell against Lucille Alma Dunleavy, 52, of 1806 Market St., Ashland.

Police said the charges were filed in connection with a Sept. 29 incident on Brennan's Farm Road near Kulpmont, in which Dunleavy reportedly had a blood-alcohol content of .170 percent.

Underage drinking

SHAMOKIN - Brittany Bowers, 18, of 334 S. Fifth St., Shamokin, was cited by Patrolman Bryan Primerano for underage drinking related to an incident that occurred at 11 p.m. Oct. 9 at her home.

Multiple charges

MOUNT CARMEL TOWNSHIP - Michael W. Maher, 19, of 1471 Chestnut St., Kulpmont, was charged by Patrolman Daniel Politza with speeding, underage drinking, restrictions on alcoholic beverages, driving with alcohol in his system while being a minor, driving under the influence of alcohol, loitering and prowling at night, resisting arrest and flight to avoid apprehension relating to incidents that occurred June 24 on Route 61 between Strong and Kulpmont, and in the 100 block of Chestnut Street in Kulpmont.

After being stopped by police, Maher fled on foot and ran through yards in the 100 block of Chestnut Street in Kulpmont before eluding police after a 30-minute search.

Drug charges

KULPMONT - Patrolman Shane Reamer has charged William T. Feese, 48, of 230 S. Diamond St., Shamokin, with possession of Oxycontin, possession of marijuana, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of an adulterated or misbranded controlled substance.

The charges were filed in connection with an Aug. 1 incident in the 800 block of Scott Street.

BY LARRY DEKLINSKI SHAMOKIN - A portion of a vacant commercial building collapsed onto a busy city street late Saturday morning. The collapse occurred around 11:30 a.m. when sheet metal, wood and bricks from 23 S. Market St. fell near the structure on M
