Hit and run

FOSTER TOWNSHIP - Charges are pending against an Elysburg man who allegedly fled the scene of an accident in Schuylkill County, according to state police in Frackville.

Police reported Shane Drumheller, 27, of Elysburg, was traveling south on Interstate 81 in a Toyota minivan when he was struck on the right side by David Woodring, 51, of Hazleton, driving south in a 2004 Mack.

State police said Drumheller then fled the scene and was involved in another crash on I-81 south, where his vehicle caught fire.

Drumheller was not wearing his seat belt.

Harrassment

COAL TOWNSHIP - Michelle McCrary, 26, of 135 Lower Patch Road, Sagon, was charged with harassment as a result of an incident that occurred on Lower Patch Road at 8:20 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, and other incidents, according to the Coal Township Police Department.

Police reported McCrary made threats and various statements to Miranda Bower, 34, of 154 Lower Patch Road, Sagon.

The citation was filed at the office of the District Court Justice John Gembic.

DUI charged

ATLAS - Michael Vincent Chapman, 37, of 1249 Scott St., Kulpmont, was charged with offenses related to an incident of driving under the influence on state Route 61, Atlas, according to Mount Carmel Township Police.

Patrolman David James Stamets Jr. said Chapman was observed driving a red Chevrolet Colorado truck at 12:27 a.m. Aug. 16, traveling over the fog line and braking quickly. When the officer stopped him, Chapman could not pass a field sobriety test.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 10.

DUI charged

KULPMONT - Joseph Peter Abrahamson, 21, of 200 E. Warsaw St., Marion Heights, was charged with offenses related to an incident of driving under the influence and trespassing at the American Legion on the corner of Ninth and Ash streets, according to Kulpmont Borough Police Department.

Patrolman Shane Reamer reported that Abrahamson was observed driving in his vehicle from the parking lot at 10:46 p.m. Feb. 5 and almost hitting another vehicle. When the officer pulled him over, he failed a PBT test, police said.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 6.

DUI incident

KULPMONT - John Douglas Yastishak, 34, of 218 Weaver Lane, Simpsonville, S.C., was charged with offenses related to a driving under the influence incident on Sixth Street, according to Kulpmont Borough Police Department.

Police reported that Yastishak's vehicle was observed without proper working lights over the license plate at 10:52 p.m. July 29. Police said when he was pulled over, alcohol could be smelled and Yastishak failed a field sobriety test.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 6.

Theft charged

MOUNT CARMEL - Brian Theodore Kramer, 22, of 104 S. Peach St. Mount Carmel, was charged with offenses related to a theft at 528 W. Second St., according to Mount Carmel Borough Police Department.

Patrolman David Donkochik reported Kramer allegedly stole $100 in cash from Jean Kramer while she was having a cookout with her family.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 6.

Harrassment

KULMONT - Stephanie Lynn Marlow, 34, of 1333 Scott St., Kulpmont, was charged with harassment, disorderly conduct and other related offenses as a result of an incident at Sobieski Club, 746 Scott St., according to state police at Stonington.

Trooper James McCormick said Marlow incited a physical confrontation with numerous individuals at 2 a.m. May 9 and refused to leave the property when the owner instructed her to do so.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 6.

DUI charged

KULPMONT - John K. Carl, 27, of 1 N. Grant St., Shamokin, was charged with offenses related to an incident of driving under the influence at the Fuel On Gas Station, according to Kulpmont Borough Police Department.

Patrolman Cade E. Holden reported Carl failed sobriety tests after midnight June 29.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 6.

False ID

MOUNT CARMEL - Jasmin Talia Gordon, 22, of 187 Jeliff Ave., Newwark, N.J., was charged with providing false identification when pulled over for a speed violation in the area of the S-turns in Locust Gap, according to Mount Carmel Township Police Department.

Patrolman David James Stamets reported that Gordon provided two false names when asked for identification at approximately 8 p.m. May 20.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 6, 2010.

DUI charged

MARION HIEGHTS - Robert Cecil Mabe, 62, of 1047 Chestnut St., Kulpmont, was charged with offense related to an incident of driving under the influence on Route 2026, according to Kulpmont Borough Police Department.

Patrolman David James Stamets reported Mabe was driving recklessly when he pulled him over at 1:33 p.m. July 10. Police said he failed a sobriety test.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 6.

Simple assault

EAST CAMERON TOWNSHIP - Michael Reeser Jr., 20, of 108 S. Diamond St., Shamokin, was charged with simple assault and harassment charges for an incident at the fire tower off Route 125, according to state police at Stonington.

Trooper Mark Adams reported Reeser kicked Nathaniel Jenkins in the jaw after Thomas D. Shingara punched him for no reason, chipping a tooth. The injury required treatment at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 6.

Hit and run

MOUNT CARMEL - Dylan Michael Olear, 18, of 705 Chestnut St., Kulpmont, was charged with reckless driving and other related offenses for a hit-and-run incident at International Paper, according to Mount Carmel Township Police.

Patrolman Kelly Campbell reported that Olear hit a Red Chevrolet Cavalier owned by Charles Britton, 104 S. Shamokin St., Shamokin, and left the scene on April 29.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 15.

M.C. incident

MOUNT CARMEL - Sean Anthony Britton, 28, of 504 High Road, Ashland, and Anthony William Britton, 50, of 124 Country Club Road, Ashland, were charged with public drunkenness and other related charged for an incident of Third and Vine streets, according to Mount Carmel Borough Police.

Patrolman David Donkochik reported he pulled over Charles Beaver for a traffic violation and his passengers, both Brittons, father and son, ran from the scene. Police said when they were located, Sean Britton had a blood alcohol level of .14. Anthony Britton had .12.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 6. for Sean Britton and Sept. 15 for Anthony Britton.

Theft charges

STRONG - Theodore Bransford III, 22, and Kristen Marie Kroh, 19, both of 107 N. Locust St., Mount Carmel, are charged with theft charges related to an incident on Route 61 in Strong, according to Mount Carmel Township Police Department.

Chief Brian Hollenbush reported Bransford and Kroh were taking lottery tickets from the Turkey Hill in Strong at 1:58 p.m., May 26.

Preliminary hearings are scheduled for Sept. 22.

DUI charged

MOUNT CARMEL - Robert Charles Beaver, 47, of 403 Columbia Ave., Aristes, is being charged with offenses related to an incident of driving under the influence on Third and Poplar streets, according to Mount Carmel Township Police Department.

Patrolman Jason Drumheller reported Beaver was spinning his tires at 1:49 a.m. July 24. When he stopped Beaver, the man decided to flee again and later stopped to be pulled over.

Beaver failed field sobriety tests and was reported to have a blood alcohol level of .09, said police.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 15.

Terroristic threats

MOUNT CARMEL - Edwin D. Ososkie, 47, of 320 W. Cherry St., Mount Carmel, is being charged with terroristic threats and other charges related to an incident at 319 W. Avenue, according to Mount Carmel Borough Police Department.

Patrolman David Donkochik reported Ososkie confronted two juveniles males in the 300 block of West Cherry Street and pointed a black revolver at them, saying he could have shot them. In addition to the terroristic threats, he is being charged with possessing an instrument of crime, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.

Police reported Ososkie had a blood alcohol level of .08.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 16.
