Bad checks issued

SUNBURY - A "known suspect" wrote two bad checks to the Sunbury Social Club in Upper Augusta Township last year, state police at Stonington reported Saturday.

Trooper Kirk A. Renn reported the checks were for a total of $350 and were given to the club at 352 East Drive on Oct. 5.

The were returned by the bank as bounced checks, police said.

The investigation is ongoing. No suspect was named by police in their report.
