Bad checks
MOUNT CARMEL - John P. Terry, 39, of 433 Anthony St., Williamsport, was charged by Mount Carmel Township Chief of Police Brian Hollenbush with theft by deception and bad checks after he allegedly wrote a bad check to Aaron's Oil Company, Natalie, in the amount of $164, on March 17.
Terry is also charged with two counts of bad checks and two counts of theft by deception, relating to bad checks he allegedly wrote to Cole's Hardware, Atlas, on April 5 in the amount of $97.22.
The charges were filed at the office of Senior Magisterial District Judge Michael F. Mychak, Mount Carmel.
Assault
ELYSBURG - Eric L. Wiest, 36, and Kelly A. Wiest, 41, both of 151 Hillside Ave., were both charged with assault and harassment relating to a physical altercation that occurred on Monday at their residence.
The charges were filed at the office of Senior Magisterial District Judge Michael F. Mychak, Mount Carmel, by Ralpho Township Patrolman Christopher Grow.
Fishing rod stolen
RUSH TOWNSHIP - George Keener, 68, of Sunbury, reported to state police at Stonington that sometime between noon Thursday and noon Friday, someone removed a Zebco fishing rod and a Mitchel 300 fishing reel from Keener's vehicle while it was parked on Wolverton Road in Rush Township. The total value of the items stolen is approximately $35.
