Two-vehicle crash
RUSH TOWNSHIP - Two men escaped injury in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Sunbury Road and East Sunbury Road in Rush Township at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
State police at Stonington said a 1999 Ford Taurus, driven by Lester Armstrong, 39, of East Fifth Street, Bloomsburg, was traveling south on Sunbury Road and slid on the snow-covered road into the intersection with East Sunbury Road. His sedan was struck by a 2008 Chevrolet K2500 pickup truck, driven by Lawrence Blosky 2nd, 38, of Bright Hope Road, Greenville, Tenn., which was traveling west on East Sunbury Road. Blosky's truck then veered off the road and hit a tree head-on.
Neither driver was injured, but both vehicles had to be towed.
Assisting police were members of the Southside Fire Company.
Retail theft case
SELINSGROVE - State police here charged Josue Charriez, 23, of Selinsgrove, with retail theft for allegedly attempting to steal three X-Box 360 games, valued at $19.96 each, from Wal-Mart. He was first observed by store security, police said.
