COAL TOWNSHIP - A 15-year-old male from Shamokin has been charged by Patrolman Chris Lapotsky with disorderly conduct relating to a Jan. 29 disturbance at Shamokin Area Middle/High School.

The teen is accused of using obscene language toward a staff member, pushing a staff member and knocking items on the floor.

Seven injured

HALIFAX TOWNSHIP - Seven teen-agers, including one who was ejected, suffered injuries Friday afternoon when a car they riding in crashed into two trees and rolled over along Matamoras Road in this Dauphin County township.

The teens were not identified by state police at Lykens because of their ages.

One of the passengers was ejected from the 2005 Pontiac G6 GT and flown by Life Lion Helicopter to Penn State Hershey Medical Center. The other occupants also underwent emergency room treatment for their injuries.

Police said the driver was traveling west shortly before 1 p.m. at a high rate of speed when he or she lost control of the car, which exited the road and crashed into two trees before rolling over.

Police said multiple charges will be filed against the driver.
