n MOUNT CARMEL - Robert E. Michael, 21, of Tower City, pleaded guilty recently to possession of drug paraphernalia and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones to pay a $200 fine plus costs and placed on supervised probation for 12 months.

Additional charges of possession of a controlled substance and corruption of minors were withdrawn.

Michael was charged by Mount Carmel Patrolman Justin Stelma in connection with a June 8 incident at 8 S. Oak St.

n MOUNT CARMEL - Michael B. Laskowski, 32, of 101 S. Plum St., Mount Carmel, pleaded guilty recently to providing police with false identification and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones to pay a $200 fine plus costs and placed on supervised probation for one year.

Additional charges of driving without a license, driving under suspension and false reports were withdrawn.

The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Township Patrolman Daniel Politza in connection with a Jan. 26 accident along Route 2038 in Dooleyville.

n MOUNT CARMEL - Jeffrey M. Loatman, 19, of 543 Main St., Ranshaw, and Raheem Loatman, of Millville, N.J., waived to court March 3 charges of criminal conspiracy, possession with intent to use marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of a misbranded or adulterated substance (acetaminophen, butalbital, caffeine, codeine tablets) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The charges were filed by Mount Carmel Sgt. Todd Owens, Mount Carmel Patrolman Matthew Dillman and Mount Carmel Township Patrolman David Stamets Jr., who are members of the Northumberland-Montour Drug Task Force, in connection with a Feb. 20 vehicle stop on Route 901 in Mount Carmel Township.

The Loatmans were ordered by Magisterial District Judge Hugh Jones to appear for arraignment March 29 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury, at which time they can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.
