n SHAMOKIN - Dennis C. Paczkowski, 20, of Coal Township, pleaded guilty Tuesday to possession of drug paraphernalia and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to pay a $300 fine plus costs and placed on supervised probation for one year.

Paczkowski was charged by Shamokin Patrolman Scott Weaver in connection with a Nov. 12 drug bust coordinated by the Northumberland-Montour Drug Task Force and agents from the state Attorney General's Office.

n SHAMOKIN - Ralph S. Eck, 48, of Shamokin, pleaded guilty Tuesday to possession of drug paraphernalia and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to pay a $500 fine plus costs.

An additional charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana was withdrawn.

Eck was charged by Shamokin Patrolman Bryan Primerano in connection with a Nov. 12 drug raid conducted by the Northumberland-Montour Drug Task Force and agents from the state Attorney General's Office.

n SHAMOKIN - Glen Grow, 52, of 33 S. First St., Shamokin, waived to court Tuesday multiple drug charges and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to appear for arraignment Dec. 14 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury.

Grow was charged by Shamokin Patrolman Bryan Primerano in an Oct. 5 drug bust with five counts of criminal use of a communication facility, four counts of delivery of heroin, four counts of possession with intent to deliver heroin, two counts of delivery of drug paraphernalia, two counts of possession with intent to deliver drug paraphernalia, one count of delivery of Dilaudid and one count of possession with intent to deliver Dilaudid.

n SHAMOKIN - Kennie Melhorn, 18, of 600 N.Second St., Shamokin, waived to court Tuesday charges of risking a catastrophe, criminal mischief and arson endangering a building in a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III.

Melhorn was charged by Shamokin Patrolman Nathan Rhoades following an incident at the rear of the 100 block of West Independence Street in Shamokin between 3 and 3:45 a.m. Oct. 9.

An alleged accomplice, Robert Fisher, 18, of 1012 W. Spruce St., Coal Township, waived to court Tuesday charges of criminal mischief and risking a catastrophe. A charge of arson against Fisher was withdrawn in his case.

Both men were ordered to appear for arraignment Dec. 14 at the Northumberland County Courthouse.

n SHAMOKIN - A Shamokin couple, Mark S. Krieger Jr., 35, and his wife, Tara Krieger, 32, both of 350 S. Diamond St., pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of harassment during a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III. Both were ordered to pay a $50 fine and court costs.

The Kriegers were charged by Jarrod Scandle, of the Shamokin City Police Department, after a domestic incident Sept. 16.

Charges of simple assault were withdrawn in the case.

n SHAMOKIN - Anna McCaffery, 28, of 421 N. Shamokin St., Apt. 2-6, Shamokin, waived to court Tuesday charges of driving under the influence and careless driving during a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III.

McCaffery was charged by city Patrolman Raymond Siko following a traffic stop on Shakespeare Street Sept. 24.

She was ordered to appear for arraignment Dec. 14 at the Northumberland County Courthouse on Sunbury.
