n SHAMOKIN - James Quick, 24, of 120 Academy St., Shamokin, waived to court Tuesday charges of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to appear for arraignment Nov. 25 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury.

Quick was charged by Shamokin Patrolman Shane Mowery with punching James Weikel in the face several times on Oct. 7 at Ninth and Independence streets.

n SHAMOKIN - Barry C. Hughes, 39, of 914 W. Walnut St., Apt. 2, Coal Township, waived to court Tuesday charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and hit and run relating to an Oct. 21 accident in the 200 block of West Walnut Street.

The charges were filed by Shamokin Patrolman Nathan Rhodes.

Hughes was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to appear for arraignment Nov. 25 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury.

n SHAMOKIN - Anthony Q. Yost, 25, of 232 Iris Road, Shamokin, waived to court Tuesday one count of simple assault and two counts of harassment involving an Aug. 10 disturbance at 329 Didium Lane in West Cameron Township.

Yost was charged by Trooper Todd Leiby of state police at Stonington with stomping on the left foot of Bobbie Jo Irvin, causing three bones to break. He also is accused of repeatedly pulling Irvin's hair.

Yost was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to appear for arraignment Nov. 25 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury.

n SHAMOKIN - James Shebelsky, 27, of 1200 E. Sunbury St., Coal Township, waived to court Tuesday two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of careless driving relating to an Aug. 22 accident along Route 2026 in Coal Run.

The charges were filed by Coal Township Patrolman Edward Purcell.

Shebelsky was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to appear for arraignment Nov. 25 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury.

n SHAMOKIN - Christian L. Kehler, 32, of 1114 N. Shamokin St., Shamokin, waived to court Tuesday charges of insurance fraud and criminal attempt to commit theft by deception involving incidents that occurred between Nov. 17 and Dec. 26, 2008.

Kehler was charged by Special Agent Clinton Wagner of the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office with filing a false claim with All State Insurance Company regarding a truck that was involved in an accident.

Kehler was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to appear for arraignment Nov. 25 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury.

n SHAMOKIN - Four defendants charged by Coal Township Patrolman Edward Purcell in a June 30 disturbance in the 1100 block of Hemlock Street pleaded guilty Tuesday to disorderly conduct and were each ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to pay a $200 fine plus costs.

Pleading guilty were Daniel C. Dietz, 31, of 1709 Pulaski Ave., Coal Township; Linda Bojanac, 50, of 1011 W. Chestnut St., Coal Township; Sarah Dobeck, 25, of 1709 Pulaski Ave., Coal Township, and Joanne Tumolo, 36, of 61 E. Independence St., Shamokin.

An additional charge of harassment filed against Dietz and Dobeck was withdrawn, as were additional charges of harassment and public drunkenness filed against Bojanac and Tumolo.

n SHAMOKIN - Russell Henz, 49, of 1652 W. Lynn St., Coal Township, waived to court Tuesday two counts of delivery of morphine, two counts of possession with intent to deliver morphine and two counts of criminal use of a communication facility involving an Oct. 5 drug bust in the city.

Henz was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to appear for arraignment Nov. 25 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury.

n SHAMOKIN - Georgina DeWitt, 27, of 123-A N. Franklin St., Shamokin, waived to court Tuesday one count of delivery of marijuana, possession with intent to deliver marijuana and criminal use of a communication facility relating to an Oct. 5 drug bust in Shamokin.

DeWitt was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to appear for arraignment Nov. 25 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury.

n SHAMOKIN - Jennifer Wagner, 31, of 614 W. Chestnut St., Shamokin, pleaded guilty Tuesday to possession of drug paraphernalia and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to pay a $300 fine plus costs and placed on supervised probation for six months.

Charges of delivery of Suboxone, possession with intent to deliver Suboxone and criminal use of a communication facility were withdrawn.

Wagner was charged in connection with an Oct. 5 drug bust in the city.
