n SHAMOKIN - Christina Hepner, 22, of 600 N. Second St., Shamokin, pleaded guilty Tuesday to corruption of minors and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to pay a $1,000 fine plus costs and placed on supervised probation for one year.

Three counts of selling or furnishing alcohol to minors were withdrawn.

Hepner was charged by Shamokin Patrolman Nathan Rhodes with corruption of minors and selling or furnishing alcohol to minors relating to a Dec. 2 incident.

She also was charged by Rhodes with selling or furnishing alcohol to minors on Dec. 3. Patrolman Bryan Primerano charged Hepner with selling or furnishing alcohol to minors on Nov. 29.

n SHAMOKIN - Rafael Mateo, 21, of 519 W. Cherry St., Shenandoah, pleaded guilty Tuesday to disorderly conduct and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to pay a $300 fine plus costs.

An additional charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was withdrawn.

Yimy Espinal-Plasencia, 19, of 435 Oak Terrace, West Reading, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia and was ordered to pay a $300 fine plus costs.

An additional charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana was withdrawn.

Mateo and Espinal-Plasencia were among four men charged Feb. 19 with drug-related offenses by Shamokin Patrolman Bryan Primerano.

n SHAMOKIN - Andrew Britton II, 26, and his 38-year-old wife, Lori, both of 409 Water St., Ranshaw, pleaded guilty Tuesday to harassment and were ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to pay a $50 fine plus costs.

Additional charges of simple assault filed against both defendants were withdrawn.

The Brittons were charged by Coal Township Patrolman David Sage in connection with a disturbance at their residence on Jan. 25.

n SHAMOKIN - William J. Whispell, 21, of 720 E. Commerce St., Shamokin, pleaded guilty Tuesday to disorderly conduct and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to pay a $200 fine plus costs.

A charge of selling or furnishing alcohol to minors was withdrawn.

Whispell was charged by Shamokin Patrolman Scott Weaver in connection with an Oct. 24 incident at a residence in the 200 block of South Diamond Street.
