n SHAMOKIN - Rhonda D. Bassett, 41, of 912 E. Sunbury St., Shamokin, waived to court Tuesday two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and a stop sign violation relating to a traffic stop at Walnut and Market streets on May 21.

The charges were filed by Trooper Scott Davis of state police at Milton.

Bassett was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to appear for arraignment Oct. 1 at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury, at which time she can plead guilty or no contest, or seek a trial by pleading not guilty.

n SHAMOKIN - Gary Dombroski, 24, of 1115 W. Arch St., Coal Township, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to pay a $200 fine plus costs and placed on supervised probation for six months.

The charge was filed by Shamokin Patrolman Bryan Primerano in connection with a June 19 incident at an apartment in the 700 block of West Chestnut Street.
