Mailbox bombs

LAVELLE - Butler Township Police and U.S. Postal inspectors are investigating several incidents of bottle bombs being placed inside mailboxes in the Lavelle and Fountain Springs areas.

These incidents were reported Jan. 26 through Jan. 28. A reward will be offered to anyone with information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Butler Township Police at 875-4131 or 462-1911, or inspector Michael Bond of the U.S. Postal Inspection Services at (717) 257-2330 or (717) 257-2332.
