ASHLAND - Borough police are looking for a man who robbed the Turkey Hill Minit Mart armed with baseball bat early Monday morning.

Police said the man entered the store at 3:32 a.m. holding the bat and demanded money.

He fled the store two minutes later, but police did not say whether he was able to get any money or merchandise.

The man is described as white, in his early 20s, between 5-feet 8-inches and 5-feet 10-inches tall with blue eyes and pale skin.

Police said the robber is between 180 and 200 pounds and was wearing a black knit cap with a small white design in the center of the front, and a white bandana over his face.

The man was wearing a gray, long-sleeve shirt, white or silver athletic shorts and white and black sneakers with black laces, police said.

Police said the man was holding a silver aluminum baseball bat with faded black lettering and was carrying a white plastic bag.

Anyone with information on a person fitting the description during the early morning hours is asked to call borough police through the Schuylkill County 9-1-1 Center at 462-1991.
