Couple sues Knoebels after trip-and-fall
WILLIAMSPORT - A federal lawsuit has been filed by a New York couple against the operators of Knoebels Amusement Resort for an alleged injury sustained in a trip-and-fall.
An attorney filed the lawsuit Wednesday on behalf of Christine and Robert Wagner, claiming negligence and loss of consortium.
It states that Christine Wagner was at the amusement park with her husband and three grandchildren June 27, 2012. She was walking on a path between the Go-Karts and the Fandango rides when she allegedly tripped on a tree root and fell to the ground causing serious injury to her knee.
The Wagners allege Knoebels was careless and negligent in failing to cover or remove the tree root from the path.
Robert Wagner's claim of loss of consortium is that the incident negatively impacted his relationship with his wife.
They're seeking a minimum of $75,000 for each of the two counts.
A Knoebels spokesperson could not be reached for comment.
