ATHENS, Ga. - John David Moody, formerly of Paxinos, graduated from the University of Georgia Aug. 2, with a doctorate degree in chemistry.

His thesis title was, "Identifying Difficult Topics and Problematic Subtopics Using Item Response Theory Analysis of Mastery Mode Homework Questions in a National Online Web-Based Learning Database."

He is the son of Alma Moody-Long and George Long, of Middleburg, and the late John Daniel Moody.

He has accepted a position at Indiana State University, teaching Chem 100 - Chemistry and Society, along with associated laboratory.
