MANSFIELD - Jordan Pinamonti graduated from Mansfield University and Robert Packer Hospital School of Nursing May 10. She received a Bachelor of Science in nursing. She had been named to the President's List of Distinguished Undergraduate Scholars for having attained a 4.0 grade point average six out of eight semesters. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 3.94 cumulative grade point average.

The Mansfield University Nursing Class of 2014 held their Pinning Ceremony May 9, 2014, at The Hill Top Inn in Elmira, N.Y. Pinamonti chose her father, Joseph Pinamonti, to present her nurse's pin to her. She was also presented the Guthrie Clinic Achievement Award, awarded to a student with outstanding academic achievement, and the Ethel Hawk Ayers Award, presented to a student showing success for outstanding ability in written and oral communication.

Pinamonti graduated as salutatorian from Our Lady of Lourdes Regional School Class of 2010. While at Mansfield, she was a member of Mansfield University Nursing Association, Lambda Sigma National Honor Society, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, The National Society of Leadership and Success, Students for Peace, Saddle Club, and served as a co-captain of the Relay for Life Team.

Pinamonti participated in a 10-week summer temp nursing assistant program at Geisinger Health System in the summer of 2011 where she worked in the labor and delivery department, and in the summer of 2013 she completed a nursing extern program also at Geisinger Health System in the psychology department. She has worked in both areas at Geisinger Health System as a flex nursing assistant during school breaks and summers.

Jordan has accepted a full-time nursing position at Susquehanna Health in Williamsport where she will begin a nine-month fellowship in the intensive care/critical care departments beginning July 14, which will lead to special accreditation in these departments.

She is a daughter of Joseph and Susan Pinamonti, of Elysburg, and granddaughter of Richard and Eleanor Olcese, of Shamokin, and Joe and the late Martha Pinamonti, of Elysburg.
