IRISH VALLEY - The Clark's Grove United Methodist Church presents its fifth annual "Music in the Valley" concert series. It will be held at 7 p.m. the first three Tuesdays in June at the church in Irish Valley. There is great entertainment, free food and no charge for admission. The second concert will be held outdoors, weather permitting, so please bring a lawn chair.

The first concert in the series tomorrow will be an evening of music with the Southern Columbia Area Gospel Choir. This select group of 24 singers perform a variety of Christian music from traditional to contemporary. Their reputation for quality music is well known. This will be their final concert.

The second concert, June 10, will be an acoustic guitar performance by the highly regarded musician, Tim Krebs. Tim sings and plays a variety of styles including pop, rock, folk, sacred and country. This promises to be a very entertaining evening.

The third concert on June 17 will be an evening of organ music featuring Dr. Marcos Krieger, associate professor of music from Susquehanna University.

The church sponsors these free concerts as a community outreach project.

So come to the church for free entertainment, free food and great fellowship.

Krieger is a keyboard artist with extensive training in early music and early keyboard technique. A citizen of Brazil and Germany, Krieger was raised in the Brazilian Amazon region, where his parents are missionaries to the Xerente tribe. He started his musical training at the music conservatory of the Universidade Federal de Goiás, in Brazil. After further studies in Germany, he relocated to the United States, and completed graduate degrees at Brigham Young University and the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. This concert was previously scheduled for April but was cancelled due to an instrument malfunction.
