Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel's Council of Catholic Women and Rosary Altar Society
MOUNT CARMEL - Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel's Council of Catholic Women and Rosary Altar Society held their monthly meeting Nov. 6, in the parish hall. President Theresa Conniff brought the meeting to order with the prayer to Our Lady of the Rosary, and Our Lady of Good Counsel and the Pledge of Allegience.
The secretary's report was given by Dianne Darrah, and Debbie Gownley gave the treasurer's report. Plans were then made for the Pilgrim statue that came to Divine Redeemer Church on Nov. 14.
The next Council of Catholic Women convention will be May 5 at the Cardinal Keeler Center, Harrisburg. Conniff reported the appreciation dinner was a huge success, and with the largest turnout ever. The council and rosary society Christmas party will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at the parish hall, and catered by A Matter of Taste.
The meeting was closed with prayers for the active, sick and deceased members. Hostesses Aggie Hornberger and Carol Panko provided refreshments following the meeting.
