Busy days ahead for OHV park proposal
Busy days ahead
The Northumberland County Anthracite Outdoor Recreation Area, or OHV (off-highway vehicle) park, is receiving plenty of attention in the coming days:
Today: Previewing Monday's workshop conducted by the Pennsylvania Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Association, in cooperation with the National OHV Conservation Council, an invitation-only tour of the proposed county land involved will be conducted. (The News-Item will report on the tour in Monday's edition.)
Monday: The day-long workshop, at Masser's Banquet Hall, Paxinos, will include expert presenters from the off-highway vehicle and outdoor recreation industry. It is open to anyone, but will focus on broad industry issues, not localized issues involving this particular project.
Tuesday: The second of three public information sessions regarding the county project is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Shamokin Area Middle-High School auditorium.
