TL Adams LLC has expanded its service options
RED CROSS - TL Adams LLC has expanded its service options with the purchase of a machine that handles those hard-to-clean parts of power equipment.
The Herndon-area company, off Route 225 at Mandata Road in Red Cross, picked up the industrial ultrasonic cleaner to remove varnish from carburetors that can't be cleaned manually. It's like an industrial version of a jewelry cleaner, using vibration and solution to clean parts.
This has become an important issue as carburetors have become more sophisticated and can't be cleaned or have dirt "blown" out as in the past.
TL Adams LLC retails outdoor power equipment. The firm not only picks up and delivers equipment, but also makes sure it's set up and ready to use at delivery.
The three-man company - operating for 13 years - services Northumberland, western Schuylkill and Dauphin counties. Customers include anyone with grass to mow, leaves to pick up or snow to blow.
TL Adams carries Simplicity, Snapper, Ferris commercial mowers with patented suspension, and Columbia. Handheld lines include Echo and Dolmar chainsaws. Its equipment is powered by Briggs and Stratton, Kohler, Kowasaki and Tecumseh engines.
There are new mower decks on the Simplicity and Ferris mowers that will make the best cuts in the industry even better because of larger discharge openings and better air flow, owner Tracy Adams said.
In another exciting development, this month Snapper will introduce the NXT Series of riding and walk-behind mowers and tractors, with 23- or 24-horsepower Briggs and Stratton twin-engines, 46- or 52-inch mower decks, push-button start, a "revolutionary cutting system," electronic dash, electric height of cut and mesh seats.
Adams said the past year was great despite the recession as Mother Nature kept the grass growing.
His company recently launched a Web site, TLAdamsllc.com. The company hopes the site allows existing and new customers to see the equipment lines and what units are in stock, including used equipment.
