COAL TOWNSHIP - Now you have it - a place where you can purchase your meats and staples, then head next door and pick up your alcoholic beverages for any occasion or for those special parties. Irish Isle Provision Company Inc. and Meat Market and Irish Pot of Gold Beer Distributor have become the place for one-stop shopping for meats and beverages.

The meat market carries a wide variety of meats with every cut prepared to the custom's specifications. The market features a large variety of deli meats and cheeses, including imported Italian delicacies such as aged Asiago cheese and capicola.

Earl Sheriff and his staff prepare their own brand of fresh and smoked kielbasi. They also sell breads and pizzas from Dalo's Bakery. For the soupie makers, the company carries fresh pork, casings, spices, twine and more. Check out seafood products, spices, specialty items, staple items and extra-large canned goods.

Rebekah Lenig is manager of the newly opened Irish Pot of Gold Beer Distributor, which carries more than 50 brands of beers. The business easily orders specialty beers for customers who request those something-out-of-the-ordinary brands.

Besides regular beer, the store stocks non-alcoholic brands plus wine coolers and bagged iced. There are weekly specials advertised in the weekly ad for those wanting to take advantage of their special brand beer.

The meat market hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

The distributor's hours are 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
