Lincoln Towers continues to receive high marks for its level of resident services

SHAMOKIN - Lincoln Towers, located at the corner of Mulberry and Market streets, is committed to treating residents comfortably and with respect.
Recognized for outstanding management by the National Affordable Housing Management Association, Lincoln Towers continues to receive high marks for its level of resident services.
"Each year, Lincoln Towers has received outstanding scores from REAC (Real Estate Assessment Center) and PMAM (PA Multifamily Asset Managers)," said Linda Persing, property manager.
The facility has 100 units that are currently full. Residents must be 62 years of age or older, or handicapped or disabled. Rent is based on income, and the gross income limit varies from year to year. Residents pay 30 percent, which includes everything but phone and television service.
Lincoln Towers offers many social activities, including bingo, bean bag toss, other games, movie nights, exercise opportunities and an apartment-wide meal every month based on holidays.
Lincoln Towers also provides many programs on a variety of topics through a social service program. Residents participate in health screenings, computer usage and fraud prevention.
Special features inside Lincoln Towers include elevators, a laundry on each floor, refrigerator and stove, heating and air conditioning, enclosed balcony, key card access, direct 911 lines, sprinkler system, smoke detectors and fire alarms, garbage disposals, on-site management and 24-hour maintenance.
The community room is equipped with a large television, and the computer lab has several computers that are available to residents.
Off-street parking is located close to downtown Shamokin, with access to local bus and taxi services.
The board of directors is comprised of Ronald Bradley, president; Jere Engle, vice president; Darryl Dudeck, secretary; William Strausser, treasurer; and Robert Wislock, assistant secretary/treasurer. David Marateck serves as solicitor.
