MOUNT CARMEL - Attorney Nicholas T. Gard, J.D., L.L.M., who has more than 20 years of legal experience, has operated the Mount Carmel Branch office of Smoker Gard Associates LLP for more than 10 years.

Gard earned his law degree at Ohio Northern University and received a master's degree in taxation from Temple University. He is also licensed as a registered agent for financial services, insurance and annuities and real estate title insurance.

The Mount Carmel office provides services in wills, trusts, estate administration, estate planning, real estate transactions, including 1031 tax-deferred exchanges; business formations, tax law and audit representation, business sales and acquisitions and other business-related matters.

The law firm has offices in New Holland, Manheim, Lititz and Mount Carmel. The firm has 10 employees.

The Mount Carmel office maintains regular office hours Monday through Friday, but is closed Wednesdays. Additional hours are available by appointment. The firm serves all of central and eastern Pennsylvania, including Northumberland, Columbia, Snyder, Dauphin, Schuylkill, Lancaster, Chester and Berks counties.

The firm plans to expand its office space and business location to 101 S. Oak St.

Patti Malick, who works for Smoker Gard Associates LLP at the Mount Carmel office, has more than nine years experience with the firm.
