4 hurt in accidents still in hospital
DANVILLE - A Geisinger Medical Center spokesperson provided updates Wednesday afternoon on the conditions of four people injured in separate automobile crashes earlier this month:
- Yazeed Azar, 50, of Shenandoah, who was injured Monday after crashing through a cemetery maintenance shed in Aristes, remains in serious condition;
- Renee Austerberry, 27, of Shamokin, who was injured Saturday after crashing on Route 61 between Saint Clair and Frackville in Schuylkill County, remains in serious condition;
- Cheryl Tanney, of Mount Carmel, who was injured Saturday after crashing on Route 54 near Bear Gap Road in Ralpho Township, was upgraded to fair condition;
- Glenn Meredith, 52, of Mount Carmel, who was injured Feb. 4 in a head-on collision on Route 54 on Natalie Mountain near Strong, remains in critical condition.
