SUNBURY - Bertha M. Dreese was found guilty today on all three criminal counts in the death of her granddaughter, Anela Naloni Loner, in October 2010. The child died of hyperthermia after being left alone in a crib in a second floor bedroom of  Dreese's Sunbury home at 43 S. Seventh St. for 19 hours with a space heater operating on high.

A bench trial for Dreese concluded Friday, and President Judge Robert B. Sacavage announced the verdict this afternoon.

Dreese was charged with involuntary manslaughter, recklessly endangering the welfare of children and recklessly endangering another person. She was babysitting the child in her home at 43 S. Seventh St.
