Committee moves Rosini nomination to full Senate
HARRISBURG - The state Senate Judiciary Committee today unanimously approved the nomination of Anthony J. Rosini for Common Pleas Judge in Northumberland County, according to state Sen. John R. Gordner, R-27, a member of the panel. Rosini’s nomination now moves to the full Senate for consideration.
“I was honored to present Tony to the Committee and to support his nomination,” Gordner was quoted in a press release this afternoon. “I will be working for a final confirmation vote before the full Senate sometime next week.”
Rosini has served as Northumberland County’s District Attorney since 1996 following 12 years of service as assistant district attorney. He was nominated for the bench by Gov. Tom Corbett. If confirmed by the Senate, Rosini plans to serve the remaining two years of the unexpired term of former President Judge Robert Sacavage, who retired in January.
