Members of the imaging services staff at Shamokin Area Community Hospital conducted many educational and fund-raising events during the month of October to promote breast cancer awareness month. Shelly Stellar, MRI coordinator, Annie Adams, MRI technologist, and Maxine Harvey, mammography technologist, proudly display one of the trees in the hospital’s main lobby covered in pink ribbons, which were purchased in honor of a breast cancer survivor or in remembrance of a loved one. Along with money raised during a bake sale and dress-down day, all proceeds will be given to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation in support of breast cancer research.
