DEFIANCE, Mo. - Janell Marie Kiersnowski, DVM, and William Ben Embry II, DVM, were united in marriage Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at the Yellow Farmhouse Winery in Defiance, Mo. The ceremony was officiated by William Ben Embry, DVM, father of the groom.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kevin Kiersnowski, of Coal Township, and a granddaughter of Thomas Lamey, of Coal Township, and the late Rose Sherupski Lamey.
The groom is a son of Dr. and Mrs. William Ben Embry, of Malden, Mo., and a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hendry, of Michigan, and Mrs. Judy Bennett, of Lamar, Mo.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Taryn Vanaskie, of Albany, N.Y., as maid of honor. Bridesmen were Kevin Kiersnowski, of Philadelphia, and Sean Kiersnowski, of Newark, Del., brother of the bride.
Groomswomen included the groom's sisters, Dr. Julia Embry Schubert, of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Rebecca Vipperman of Malden, Mo.
Ring bearers were nephews Maverick Vipperman, of Malden, Mo., and Jackson Schubert, of Denver, Colo. They were escorted by Gysell Larson, of Newark, Del. Ushers were Erik and Gabriel Larson, future nephews, of Newark, Del.
Music for the ceremony was provided by ukueleist Dr. Michelle Scott, of Carylee, Ill. Wedding coordinator was Joy Knutilla, of Lofty Events, St. Louis, Mo.
The couple hosted a reception immediately following the ceremony at the Yellow Farmhouse Winery. On the eve of the wedding, the couple had a cookout-style rehearsal dinner at Grapevine Vacation Rentals, Defiance, Mo.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High School, a 2003 graduate of West Chester University of Pennsylvania and a 2007 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She is a veterinarian at the Malden Veterinary Clinic.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of Malden High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Missouri School of Veterinary Medicine. He owns the Kenmo Veterinary Clinic.
Following a honeymoon at the St. Regis in Bora Bora, the couple will reside in Malden, Mo.
