MURRYSVILLE - Allison Uziel and Theodore Bakowicz were married Dec. 17, 2011, at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Murrysville. The Rev. Ken Zaccagnini officiated.

The bride is a daughter of Robert and Rita Uziel, of Murrysville, where she was a 2001 graduate of Franklin Regional High School. She is a 2005 graduate of University of Pittsburgh where she earned a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences with minors in biomedical engineering and chemistry. She finished her master's degree in physician assistant studies at Chatham University in 2007. She is employed as an emergency medicine physician assistant in Greensburg.

The groom is a son of Ted and Sandra Bakowicz, of Danville, where he was a 1993 graduate of Danville Area High School. He is a 1997 graduate of Albright College, Reading, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in psychobiology. He earned a Bachelor of Science in physician assistant studies in 2000 from Pennsylvania College of Technology, Williamsport. He has worked as a physician assistant in cardio-thoracic and vascular surgery at Geisinger Health System and is currently working in those specialties at Excela Health in Greensburg.

Allison and Ted had the perfect wedding day, filled with love, happiness and laughter. Friends and family danced through the night at the renowned Oakmont Country Club in Pittsburgh.

The couple reside in Pittsburgh.
