Michelle Lynn Tarlecki and Christopher Sterba were married Sept. 17, 2011, at the Pasquerilla Center on The Pennsylvania State University campus in State College. Deacon Laszlo Ivanits officiated at the 1 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is a daughter of Michael and Carol Tarlecki, of Mount Carmel. She is a granddaughter of June Smith, of Mount Carmel, and the late Harold Smith, and Mary Theresa Tarlecki, of Aristes, and the late Robert Tarlecki.

The groom is a son of Thomas and Mildred Sterba, of Hazleton. He is a grandson of the late John and Congetta Kelchaw, of Hazleton, and the late Thomas Sterba and Margaret Yachera, of Hazleton.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father, Michael. Sarah Shuder, cousin of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kelly Tarlecki, sister of the bride, Stacy Tarlecki, sister of the bride, and Erin Greene, college friend of the bride and groom. The junior bridesmaids were Julia and Haley Davis, nieces of the groom. The flower girls were Isabella and Abigail Sterba, nieces of the groom.

The best woman was Mallory Cecere, sister of the groom. Groomsmen were T.J. Sterba, brother of the groom, Andrew Cecere, brother-in-law of the groom, and Trevor Shuder, cousin of the bride.

A reception for the guests was held at The Nittany Lion Inn on The Pennsylvania State University campus.

The newlyweds enjoyed a honeymoon in St. Lucia and now reside in Frederick, Md. Both the bride and groom are 2005 graduates of The Pennsylvania State University. The bride is also a 2011 graduate of The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. The bride is a attorney in the state of Maryland. The groom is an information systems manager for the James G. Davis Construction Company in Rockville, Md.
