MOUNT CARMEL - Janine Mattucci and John Marquette were united in marriage Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, at Divine Redeemer Church, Mount Carmel, with the Rev. Robert Yohe presiding.

The bride is a daughter of Joseph and Lee Anne Mattucci, of Shady Acres. Parents of the groom are John and Rita Marquette, of Trevorton.

Cecilia Plisiewicz, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Megan Marquette, Ann Marquette and Alyssa Marquette, sisters of the groom, and Dana Rutkowski, friend of the bride. Paige Mattucci, niece of the bride, was the flower girl.

Daniel Shingara, friend of the groom, served as best man. Ushers were Joseph Mattucci and Daniel Mattucci, brothers of the bride, and Brandon Schadle, Jacob Shingara and Mitchell Laskoskie, friends of the groom.

A reception was held at Fountain Springs Country Inn.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional High School. She received her master's degree in education from Wilkes University in 2009. She is employed by the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Line Mountain High School. He graduated from Triangle Tech in 2009 with an associate's degree in welding and fabrication technology. He is employed by PPL.

The couple honeymooned in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
