Ayres-Sanders
KULPMONT - Courtney Anne Ayres and Thomas William Sanders were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at Holy Angels Church, Kulpmont, with the Rev. Andrew Stahmer officiating.
The bride is a daughter of Francine Ayres, of Kulpmont and the late William Ayres. The groom is a son of Gloria Sanders, of Elysburg, and the late Fred Sanders.
The bride chose her sister, Vanessa Ayres, to serve as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amanda Ayres, sister-in-law of the bride, Jessica Wisloski, sister of the groom, and Jenna Wasakoski, Danelle Bressi, Dottie Brown, Heather Yoder and Elizabeth Rovito, all friends of the bride. Rilyn Wisloski, niece and godchild of the groom, was junior bridesmaid and Peyton Wisloski, niece of the groom, was flower girl. Megan Pensyl, friend of the couple, was guest book attendant.
Doug Sanders, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were William Ayres, brother of the bride, Jamie Wisloski, brother-in-law of the groom, and Skip Nairns, Dennis Paczkowski, Dan Venn, Dave Reed and Doug Hummel, all friends of the groom. Braeden Wisloski, nephew of the groom, served as ring bearer.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, William Ayres. Readings were done by Nicole Petruskevich, godchild of the groom, and gifts were presented by the bride and groom's mothers. Memorial candles were lit in honor of the bride and groom's fathers.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Masser's Banquet Hall, Paxinos. The couple honeymooned in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Mount Carmel Area High School and is the owner of Pampered Pooches dog grooming salon, Kulpmont. The groom is a 1987 graduate of Shamokin Area High School and a 1989 graduate of the Reading Hospital School of Radiologic Technology. He is employed by Insight Health Services Corp. as an MRI technician.
The couple reside in Coal Township.
