A daughter, Sophie Elizabeth, was born to Christopher and Erin Shaffer at 8:24 a.m. Feb. 10, 2013, in Mechanicsburg. The baby weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces, and was 19 1/2 inches in length. She is a granddaughter of Anita Shaffer, of Shamokin, and the late Kimber C. Shaffer Jr., and Ronna and Michael Hill, of Williamsport. The baby joins a brother, Kolby Christopher.
