A son, Jonah David, was born to Mr. and Mrs. David Tamkus, of Shamokin, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. The mother is the former Natalie Staugaitis. The baby weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces, and was 21 inches in length. Grandparents are Richard and Doris Staugaitis, of Coal Township, Vince Tamkus, of Excelsior, and Patricia Zurick, of Shamokin. Great-grandparents are Grace and William Tamkus, of Coal Township, and Frank Hogarty, of Shamokin.
