MOUNT CARMEL - Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stroble, of 657 W. Fifth St., Mount Carmel, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, May 4, 2013. They were married in the First United Methodist Church, Kulpmont, by the Rev. J.B. Timlin.

Mr. Stroble is a son of the late Lewis and Cora Stroble, of Ashland. He is a graduate of the Ashland Hospital School of Laboratory Technicians and worked as a medical lab technician at the Shamokin Hospital until his retirement.

His wife, Barb, is a daughter of the late Leroy and Dorothy Moyer, of Kulpmont. She is a graduate of the Reading Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse at the Ashland Hospital until her retirement.

Their maid of honor was Shirley Moyer Hale, and the best man was Stewart Stroble. Bridesmaids were Donna Stroble Freed and Bonnie Moyer Duff. Groomsmen were Charles Hale and Leroy (Butch) Moyer. The ring bearer was Bobby Mather.

The couple celebrated their anniversary with a trip to the Hawaiian Islands of Oahu and Hawaii, and to Orange and Palm Springs, Calif.

They were honored at a party at Mattucci's Willow Cafe, given by their family.
