Jeanette and William Latsha, of Northumberland, formerly of Shamokin, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Jan. 3.

The couple were married in Shamokin by the Rev. Donald Martin on Jan. 3, 1949. They were attended by Mary and William Heitzman.

Jeanette is a daughter of the late Julia and George Darstein. William is a son of the late Jenny and George Latsha.

The couple have five children: Mary and Alan Owens, of Selinsgrove, Julie Costik, of Harrisburg, William and Kim Latsha, of Shamokin, Pamela and David Hood, of Thurmont, Md., and Beth Latsha, of Apex, N.C.

They have 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren: Jere and Judi Engle, of Galloway, N.J., and their children, Jeremiah and Noah; Julie and Mark Kosoglow, of Tyrone, and their children, Maqqel, Mia, Samuel and Emmanuel; Sean and Megan Costik, of New South Wales, Pa., and their sons, Ryan and Jake; Mark Costik, of Middletown; Hill Costik, of Philadelphia; Melissa and Ed Komara, of Shamokin, and their children, Sadie and Zach; Joshua and Breana Latsha, of Shamokin, and their son, Cole; Joseph Rakoski, of Baltimore; Michael Rakoski, of San Diego; Kevin Rakoski, of Camp Hill; Alex Duhan, of Thurmont, Md.; and Matthew Fegley, of Apex, N.C., and Jake Fegley, of Apex, N.C.

A celebration in the couple's honor was held at the Country Cupboard, Lewisburg.
