SHAMOKIN - Janel Gerhart and Jonathan Reed, both of 801 W. Pine Street, Coal Township, were united in holy matrimony on Sept. 26, 2009, at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Shamokin, with the Rev. Ronald Lausch officiating.

The bride is a daughter of Dave and Sue Gerhart, of Liberty, while the groom is a son of Wayne and Donna Reed, of 830 W. Pine Street, Coal Township.

Leann Barcavage and Kelly Long, sisters of the groom, served as matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Amy Farrow, friend, and Gabriella Long, niece of the groom. Madison Barcavage, niece of the groom, was a junior bridesmaid.

Eric Barcavage, brother-in-law of the groom, was the best man, and ushers were Peter Long, brother-in-law of the groom; Allen Carr, friend, and Cameron Barcavage, nephew of the groom. Bellringer was Peter Long Jr., nephew of the groom. Ring bearers were nephews of the groom Nathiel Long and Cayden Barcavage.

A reception was held at Masser's Banquet Hall in Paxinos, and the couple honeymooned in Disney parks in Florida.

The bride graduated from Liberty Jr./Sr. High School in 2003 and earned her cosmetology license in 2004. She is currenty employed as a front-end manager at Scot's Lo-Cost in Coal Township.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Shamokin Area High School and is employed as a marketing representative for Install America in Reading.

The couple will reside in Coal Township.
