Audrey D. Smeltzer, daughter of Thomas T. and Deborah Smeltzer, and Dr. Brian M. Schwab, son of George P. Schwab Sr. and the late Cheryl J. Schwab, announce their engagement.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Southern Columbia Area High School, Catawissa RR. She graduated from Albright College in Reading in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry, and from Gratz College, Melrose Park, in May with a Master of Arts degree in education. She is currently enrolled in the Master of Science education program at Lebanon Valley College, Annville, She teaches physics and chemistry at Muhlenberg High School, Laureldale.

The groom is a 1998 graduate of Fleetwood Area High School, and a 2002 graduate of Albright College, Reading, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology, summa cum laude. He was awarded his doctor of dental medicine degree in 2006 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, Philadelphia. He is a general dentist at Shuman and Schwab, DMD, PC, in Blandon, and serves as the president of the Berks County Dental Society.

The couple reside in Reading and are planning an October wedding at Moselem Spring Golf Club, Fleetwood.
