SHAMOKIN - Stephen and Mary Kanaskie and Edward Martz, of Shamokin, are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Tara Martz, to Pete Schlenker, son of Richard and Sandy Schlenker, of Rochester, Minn.
Tara is employed at TestAmerica Laboratories in Pittsburgh as the customer service manager for environmental laboratory services. She is a graduate of Shamokin Area High School and Susquehanna University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in biology.
Pete is employed at Walgreens in Pittsburgh as a store manager. He is a graduate of Southeast High School, in Lincoln, Neb., and the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor, Mich., where he received a Bachelor of Arts in history.
The couple will marry in May 2010 and will reside in Pittsburgh.
