A daughter, Savanna Jo Hoke, was born to Vernon Hoke Jr. and Joni Phillips, of Shamokin, at 11:04 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Paternal grandparents are Donna Hoke, of Shamokin, and Vernon Hoke Sr., of Michigan. Maternal grandparents are David and Janet Phillips, of Shamokin, and Lisa and Chuck Price, of Millville.
