A son, Logan Richard Johns, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Casey Johns, of Shamokin, at 4:02 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. The mother is the former Jennifer Thew. The baby weighed 7 pounds and 7 ounces, and was 20 inches in length. Maternal grandparents are Jeffrey Thew and Mary Thew, both of Coal Township. Paternal grandparents are Richard Johns and Sharon Johns, both of Shamokin. The baby joins two sisters, Abbie, 8, and Jenna, 3, at home.
