A daughter, Elyse Rory Mae Witcoski, was born to Stephen and Jaime Witcoski on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009. Grandparents are Ross and Diane Witcoski, of Duncannon, and Jerry and Dianne Tressler, of Hummelstown. Great-grandparents are Syd and Mary Tharp, of Shamokin, and Warrent and Eunice McGarvery, of Duncannon. Great-great-grandmothers are Bernice Kocor, of Coal Township, and Ann McCloskey, of Hershey. She joins a sister, Adelynn Diane.

Shikellamy grad receives double lung transplant

Nineteen year-old Ashley Spotts, suffering from cystic fibrosis and diabetes, got a Valentine's Day gift of life: a bilateral lung transplant. The 12-hour operation took place Sunday at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's Presbyterian Hospital.
