A son, Dimitri Daniel, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Michael J. Boris III, of Mount Carmel, at 5:52 a.m. Tuesday Nov. 3, 2009, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. The mother is the former Vikki Savitski. The baby weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces and was 22 inches long. Maternal grandparents are Daniel and Giselle Savitski, of Kulpmont. Paternal grandparents are Tom and Bette Ann Joyce, of Ashland. Great-grandmothers are Victoria Zarko, of Coal Township, and Betty Markle, of Mount Carmel. The baby joins a brother, Brendan, 11, at home.
