Newsstand price to rise
Beginning today, the newsstand and vending machine price of The Sunday News-Item will increase from $1 to $1.50. Increasing costs for newsprint have necessitated the increase.
Home delivery subscription rates will remain unchanged, and continue to be the best value. The everyday subscription rate is just $3.05 per week, while the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) rate is $1.50. To subscribe, call 644-6397.
