Deer program to be held Saturday
WASHINGTONVILLE — What animal embodies the wildlife of Pennsylvania better than white-tailed deer? Whether you are a hunter, photographer or nature lover, join us for this program that will explore the natural history of deer from 2 to 3:30 p.m., Saturday at PPL’s Montour Environmental Preserve.
Richard Hess, noted nature photographer, will explore how deer make their living, how they grow and changed through the seasons, what special abilities they have for survival, and the commercial aspects of raising deer. Find out why deer were almost gone from our state at one time and why our dollar is nicknamed after a male deer.
The program, which is free and great for all ages, will take place at the Environmental Education Center. For more information and directions, contact the preserve at 437-3131.
Bible Thought
“The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD has made even both of them.” (Proverbs 20:12 AKJV)
God knows what is going on in our lives. He made hearing and seeing. Is He pleased with you?
