Another letter for Santa

Victoria Slagle, 7, of Elysburg, receives a gift from Santa Claus after dropping off a Christmas letter at Santa’s Mailbox at the entrance to the All Home Days Association picnic grounds, off Center Street in Elysburg. The annual mailbox project is sponsored by the Ralpho Township Business and All Homes Days associations. Santa reminds children that they may drop off letters until Friday, Dec. 18, and that they will receive a letter back from Santa wishing them a Merry Christmas. Please include a return address.

1-vehicle crash SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP - A Winfield woman escaped injury after losing control of her car on Route 61 just south of Holly Road Saturday, according to state police at Stonington. Dahnya N. Heim, 32, was heading north on Route 61 around 4:44 p.m.
