State police said late Thursday night that an Amber Alert issued hours earlier for a Gordon girl was canceled after the 10-year-old was found.
State police issued the abduction alert for Alexandria Jade Long, who was last seen at 4:30 p.m. on Oak Street in Gordon.
A trooper at the Harrisburg main office said the girl might have gone willingly with Peter Tarbox, 39, who is not her biological father and is described as her possible abductor.
Tarbox was driving a green Saab with New York state license plates. The pair could have possibly been traveling to New York, police said.
One of the criteria used in determining whether to issue an Amber Alert is if the child is believed to be in imminent danger of death or injury, according to the state police.
